HC Deb 02 April 1965 vol 709 c284W
Mr. Henry Clark

asked the Minister of Aviation if he will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the Air Corporations to ensure that London Airport is served by modern buses and coaches capable of adequate speed to benefit from the opening of the Chiswick to London Airport motorway.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

A direction would be inappropriate and unnecessary. B.O.A.C. and B.E.A. both tell me that their existing fleets of coaches can and do take full advantage of the new motorway. Both Corporations have more coaches on order.
