§ 32. Mr. Bellengerasked the Secretary of State for Defence what attempt has been made to centralise the pay branches of the three Services, using modern computer methods.
§ Mr. MayhewThe arrangements for pay in the three Services are to be studied with a view to inter-Service rationalisation. The study will take account of the possibility of greater integration between the computer systems which the three Services already use or plan to use. The scope for greater integration may, however, be limited, since the pay accounting systems of the three Services reflect their different terms and conditions of service.
