§ Q4. Sir J. Langford-Holtasked the Prime Minister what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government regarding compliance with resolutions of the Security Council or General Assembly of the United Nations; and if he will list any such resolutions which Her Majesty's Government do not regard as being binding upon them.
§ The Prime MinisterIt is the policy of the Government to comply in good faith and in so far as practicable with all214W resolutions adopted by the Security Council or the General Assembly. A large majority of such resolutions are not, of course, legally binding upon member States. I regret that, owing to the large number of resolutions adopted by the Council and the General Assembly, it is not practicable to provide a complete list of all those which are and those which are not binding upon member States.
