§ Miss Quennellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1) whether he has yet received an interim report from the Committee inquiring into methods of intensive animal husbandry; and if he will make a statement;
(2) what procedures the Committee inquiring into intensive animal husbandry has used in its inquiries.
§ Mr. PeartIt is not the Committee's intention to make an interim report It is pressing on with its investigation as quickly as possible and, once I receive its report, I will publish it and act on it.
The Committee is considering all the available information on this complex subject and has invited organisations and members of the public to submit evidence which is now coming in It has also been visiting a variety of examples of different types of system.
