§ Mr. BottomleyMy discussions with Dr. Perera, Ceylon Minister of Finance, were confidential, but I can inform the House that I stressed to him the concern with which the British Government viewed various measures of the Ceylon Government affecting British interests. I also expressed the hope that the Government of Ceylon, in dealing with its various economic problems, would avail itself of the services of international agencies, such as the International Monetary Fund. I am glad to say that arrangements are being made for the renewed remittance of most of the unfunded pensions.
