§ Mr. Oswaldasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government with regard to the reorganisation of the water service in Central Scotland; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RossThe Government have reviewed the position and have concluded that it would be in the public interest to promote a major re-organisation of the administrative structure of the water service in Central Scotland on the lines recommended by the Scottish Water Advisory Committee. Arrangements are accordingly being made for the publication of draft Orders under the provisions of the Water (Scotland) Acts.
