Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister what plans he has for meeting the newly-elected President of the United States of America and the present leaders of the Government of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics for the purposes of discussing improvements in international relationships between East and West.
§ The Prime MinisterAs the House knows, I am going to Washington for talks with President Johnson on 7th and 8th December. One of the subjects we shall need to discuss is the means of making progress in East-West relations. No arrangements exist at the moment for a meeting with the Soviet Prime Minister.
