64. Mr. Edward M. Taylorasked the Minister of Labour if he will initiate discussions with the Clyde shipbuilding employers and the appropriate trade unions to ascertain the desirable levels of apprenticeship recruitment for the industry in future years.
§ Mr. MarshNo. My right hon. Friend has made an Order under the Industrial Training Act, 1964, to establish a Shipbuilding Industry Training Board. This will be laid before the House this week. One of the first tasks of the Board will be to prepare estimates of the industry's skilled labour requirements.
