§ Mr. Malcolm MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will take measures to increase and modernise the fishery protection fleet and services in the waters of the Western Islands and Highlands, to enable them to deal with illegal fishing operations and give better protection to the inshore fishing industry.
§ Mr. RossA very fair share of the protection resources available is devoted to combating illegal fishing operations off the Western Islands and Highlands, but I shall consider whether further measures are necessary.
