(2) whether he will make a statement on the future of the small farmers scheme.
§ Mr. PeartThe problems of how best to help small farmers and improve farm structure are among the matters which I shall be discussing with all sides of the agricultural industry in the coming months. These discussions will of course take in the Small Farmer Scheme. Meanwhile aplicants have until July, 1967 to lodge proposals under this Scheme.
§ Mr. Chichester-Clarkasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will institute a nation-wide survey into the position of the small farmer, with a view to subsequent action.
