§ 43. Mr. Tilneyasked the Minister of Transport whether he will discuss with other departments concerned and the Institute of Hydraulics the feasibility of a road-rail link between Liverpool and North Wales across the estuary of the Dee.
§ Mr. SwinglerI understand that the Flintshire County Council in association with the Cheshire County Council is considering a project for a Dee Crossing. At the request of the Flintshire Council, my Department will be having exploratory discussions with the council shortly. This is a large and expensive project which will have to be considered at the appropriate time in the context of regional planning.
