Friend will examine the Accrington-Bury-Manchester proposal as soon as he receives details from the Railways Board, in order to see whether it is one which they should be asked to withdraw. Notice of the Manchester-Bury closure was published 9 months ago and my right hon. Friend will decide whether to consent to it as soon as he has all the relevant information.
