§ Sir W. Anstruther-Grayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement with regard to an improvement of the Dunbar by-pass on the A.1 road.
§ Mr. RossThe Dunbar by-pass carries comparatively light traffic and there is no place in our road programme at present for its general improvement. The start of the improvement proposed at the junction of the by-pass with A.1087, at Beltonford, has been delayed by difficulties in acquiring some of the land. I hope these will be resolved in time for a start at the beginning of next year.
