HC Deb 06 November 1964 vol 701 c6W
Mr. Edward M. Taylor

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in determining the height of the proposed high level bridge over the Clyde at Erskine, he will take action to ensure that adequate clearance will be provided for any vessels which the Admiralty might require to be constructed in the future.

Mr. Ross

I understand that the scheme which the Erskine Bridge Joint Committee proposes to adopt provides for a clearance of 180 ft. above high water. The Committee is advised that this height will meet all naval requirements now foreseen.
