45. Mrs. Butlerasked the Minister of Transport what conditions he has made in relation to the contribution made by his Department to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.
§ Vice-Admiral Hughes HallettThe main conditions in the agreement between my right hon. Friends the Minister of Transport and the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents are that the Society's general activities shall include the conduct of national road safety campaigns, and that the Society shall maintain an area organisation for the purpose of advising and assisting local authorities and other organisations in road safety activities. Other conditions related to these matters, including financial control, are contained in the agreement.
