§ Dr. A. Thompsonasked the Prime Minister whether he will appoint a small committee to inquire into the means whereby the research and development work commissioned by Her Majesty's Government and by nationalised industries can be spread more evenly over the principal industrial areas of the country, as recommended by the Scottish Council for Development and Industry Report issued this week.
§ The Prime MinisterMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Regional Development is arranging, in consultation with the Secretary of State for Scotland and other Ministers concerned, for the recommendations contained in this report to be examined.
