HC Deb 04 May 1964 vol 694 c133W
Mr. Driberg

asked the Postmaster-General how many staff are employed in his Philatelic Bureau; and how much has been spent in the current calendar year in advertising the services of this bureau.

Mr. Mawby

The permanent staffing complement of the Bureau is 21 but, to cope with the recent heavy rush of orders for Shakespeare stamps and first-day covers, the number of staff employed has been increased temporarily to nearly 70.

In the current calendar year we have spent about £3,000 in advertising the Bureau's services.
