§ Mr. Prenticeasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what progress has been made in the discussions between his Department, local authority associations and other interested bodies aimed at amending the law dealing with fire precautions, so that the precautions enforceable in cinemas and theatres will also apply in premises used for playing bingo.
§ Mr. WoodhouseProposals for strengthening the law relating to fire 197W precautions in this and other respects were circulated to interested bodies some two months ago. The observations received are now being studied, in consultation, as necessary, with the organisations concerned, with a view to preparing the necessary legislation.
