§ Mr. MarplesI have received representations in the past from my right hon. Friend the Member for Altrincham and Sale (Mr. Erroll) and recently from the Sale Borough Council. I replied to them in the sense of the Answer I gave on the 11th March to the hon. Member for West Ham, North, whose letter I have already answered. I have seen the petition.
I decide priorities for major road schemes for this area as for any other area on their intrinsic merits, having regard to the particular traffic needs and the funds available for road schemes generally.
