§ Mr. Wolrige-Gordonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the size of the Herring Industry Board in 1946; what it is today; and whether it is seasonal in the nature of its employment.
§ Mr. NobleIn 1946 the Board consisted of a chairman and two members all part-time. There is now a third part-time member. The change was made last year to allow additional common membership with the White Fish Authority. The Board arranges its own work but I understand that meetings are normally held at frequent intervals throughout the year.
