§ Mr. D. PriceMy right hon. Friend is pressing on with present policies which are already showing encouraging results in terms of the diversification of industry in the Northern Region. Since January 1963, some 30 firms entirely new to the area have decided to establish units there; together they are expected to provide some 8,000 new jobs, including 5,400 for males.
