asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he received a deputation from Edinburgh Town Council about all forms of traffic problems in Edinburgh; and what conclusions were reached.

My noble Friend the Minister of State has suggested to the Lord Provost that a meeting should be arranged shortly to discuss a number of important questions including the future transport needs of Edinburgh. I shall let the hon. Member know the outcome.
