§ Mr. Wiggasked the Civil Lord of the Admiralty whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT particulars of contracts which his Department have concluded with Messrs. Ferranti Limited since 1958, giving the dates negotiations started, the dates the contracts were signed, the dates on which delivery of the items began, and, in cases where the contracts have terminated, the dates on which delivery ended, and particulars of the items covered by the contracts, the amounts involved, including the cost of each item and the total amount of each contract, and the contract number.
§ Mr. HayNo. It would be contrary to longstanding Admiralty practice to publish detailed information of this nature, but I can say that since 1958 contracts to the value of about £7 million have been placed with this firm.
