§ Captain Kerbyasked the Lord President of the Council and Minister for Science what research is being carried out into the possibility of synergism and the potential effects of commonly used pesticidess with such commonly used drugs as sedatives, tranquillizers, analgesics and steroid hormones, which are administered over prolonged periods, in man.
§ Mr. HoggThe Research Committee on Toxic,Chemicals—the Frazer Committee—has recently drawn attention to the need to evaluate further the toxicological significance of the presence of pesticides in human body tissues. This evaluation will fall primarily to the Medical Research Council which will have regard to the particular problem raised by the hon. Member.
