§ 56. Mr. K. Robinsonasked the Minister of Health if he will introduce legislation for the purposes of protecting deaf persons from commercial exploitation, to require the statutory registration of suppliers and sellers of hearing aids, and to prohibit the sale of aids to persons who have not been examined by an ear, nose, and throat specialist and recommended in consequence to wear an aid.
65. Miss Leeasked the Minister of Health what steps have been taken or are under consideration to protect deaf people from being exploited by door-to-door salesmen making false claims for their products; and if he has studied the report and recommendations sent to him by the Consumer Council on this subject.
