§ Mr. HoggThe use of non-teaching staff for certain duties is a well-established practice both in schools and 107W in further education and raises no issues of policy. I am awaiting the advice of my National Advisory Council on the Training and Supply of Teachers on the use of auxiliaries in the classroom in schools. I understand that some progress has now been made and that a draft report is to be considered at a further meeting in July.
