§ 49. Mr. G. Thomasasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that 100 patients could be discharged from the Whitchurch Mental Hospital, Cardiff, but that there is no home for them to live in; and whether he will take steps to provide hostel accommodation for these patients, so that the pressure for admittance of needy cases may be reduced.
§ Mr. BraineI am aware that there are patients in this hospital who could be cared for in residential homes. Such patients are already accepted in the City Council's homes, the number of which is being increased.
