§ Lord Balnielasked the Minister of Health what steps have been taken to provide for the recruitment and training of potential catering officers in hospitals.
§ Mr. BarberI have recently announced details of a new scheme for the recruitment and training of potential catering officers. It is open to persons already employed in the hospital service and to persons from technical and domestic science colleges with the required qualifications. The first course will start in August. The scheme supplements the arrangements already provided by King Edward's Hospital Fund.
