Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Regional Development whether he is aware of the concern of manufacturers and retailers in many trades about the obligations which will be imposed on them under the Weights and Measures Act to re-label and repack their goods to conform with the new provisions before 31st July, 1965, and that no information is yet available as to what the new requirements will be; and whether, since it will be an offence after that date for anyone to have incorrectly marked goods in his possession for sale, he will take early action to prevent unnecessary hardship.
