§ Mr. Gourlayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is satisfied that the recommendations of the Wright Report, regarding the staffing of East Fife hospitals, are adequate to deal with the present work load of the hospitals; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. NobleI am aware that the recommendations of the Wright Report relating to the East Fife hospitals have been criticised as inadequate. I have not yet reached a decision on the Committee's recommendations, but my approval of them would not preclude consideration of any proposals put to me by the Regional Hospital Board for an adjustment of the staffing complements recommended by the Committee.
