HC Deb 15 June 1964 vol 696 c134W
61. Mr. K. Robinson

asked the Minister of Health what is the value of X-ray equipment held in stock by his Department; over what period it was acquired; and how much has been disposed of to authorities in the National Health Service and to other buyers in each of the last three years.

Mr. Barber

The stocks of X-ray equipment held centrally have been acquired from a variety of sources over the past 18 years, and are primarily for use in emergency. Their present-day value is of the order of £150,000.

During each of the last three years, the approximate value of disposals from these stocks has amounted to:

National Health Service Authorities Other Buyers
£ £
1961 12,500 40
1962 4,500 30
1963 Nil 200
