§ Mr. Randallasked the Minister of Health why the waiting period for gynæcological surgery at hospitals in the 133W Gateshead group of hospitals is four months; and what steps are being taken to reduce this period of waiting.
§ Mr. BraineUrgent cases are dealt with at once. 75 per cent. of the patients have been on the waiting list for less than two months, and only 3 per cent. for four months or more. For the time being priority is being given to relieving the more difficult situation in other hospital groups in the region.
