§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Minister of Pension:"and National Insurance if he will make a statement on the rights of retirement pensioners who have gone abroad either temporarily or permanently since the National Insurance (Increase of Benefit and Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations, 1963, and later amendments and developments in this phase of social legislation.
§ Mrs. ThatcherAny retirement pensioner who goes abroad either temporarily or permanently is entitled, unless other arrangements are made under a reciprocal agreement with the country concerned, to receive his pension at the rate which was current at the time when he qualified for it or at the time when he ceased to be resident in this country, whichever is the later.
