§ 44. Mr. Hoosonasked the Minister of Labour how many cases were heard in the Industrial Court in 1963 and the early part of 1964; and what plans he has to extend the use of this and similar courts.
§ Mr. WhitelawThe Industrial Court heard 50 cases in 1963 and 24 cases between 1st January and the end of May this year. Employers and trade unions are fully aware of the facilities which exist for settling by arbitration differences which cannot be resolved by negotiation and I do not think that any special measures are necessary to promote the use of these facilities.
