§ Mr. Clark Hutchisonasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations and the Colonies what costs in connection with the dissolution of the Central African Federation, in addition to the undertaking to contribute towards any actuarial deficit in the Pension Fund, Her Majesty's Government have agreed to meet.
§ Mr. SandysThe British Government have agreed with the territorial Governments to meet 40 per cent. of the "dissolution costs account", which covers the payment of certain terminal 435W benefits to ex-Federal Civil Servants. The account is expected to total approximately £2.5 million. The House will be asked in due course to vote the necessary estimates; in the meantime an advance to meet urgent expenditure will be sought from the Civil Contingencies Fund.
