§ 97. Mr. W. Griffithsasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance whether he is aware that a medical board was held on 14th June, 1964, at Withington Hospital, Manchester, to inquire into the rate of disablement benefit to be paid under the Industrial Injuries Act to an insured person, with whose name he has been supplied, who was at that moment dangerously ill from an entirely different illness; if he is aware that the patient's family were not informed until they received notice of a reduced award; and if he will give instructions that such boards shall not carry out their investigations on dangerously ill applicants.
