§ Rear-Admiral Morgan Gilesasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will consider an allocation under the major school building programme for improvement of existing schools in Hampshire so that such improvements may be commenced in advance of planned increases in the populations of towns and villages.
§ Mr. HoggFirst priority in the school building programmes for 1965– 68 has been given to providing new schools to match new housing and increases in the school population. The balance of the available resources has been devoted to secondary and primary replacements and improvements. The Hampshire programme was drawn up in the light of these national priorities.
