§ Mr. ThorneycroftI have decided to centralise under the control of my Chief Scientific Adviser the operational research work which has hitherto been carried out in the three Services separately. Most of this work and staff will be concentrated at the Army Operational Research Establishment at West Byfleet, which will become a Defence establishment under central control.
