§ 33. Mr. Give Bossomasked the Postmaster-General what steps are being taken to overcome the interference to television programmes which is caused by the British Broadcasting Corporation transmitting station at Wooferton.
§ Mr. MawbyAn improvement has already been effected by the fitting, at the transmitters, of electrical filters which suppress the interfering radiations. Work is currently in progress to improve the performance of these filters. The B.B.C. feel that this solution may prove preferable to bringing the Mary Knoll station into service and thereby causing viewers the inconvenience and expense of realigning their aerials and in some cases of fitting new coils to their receivers.
