§ Mr. Swinglerasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations and the Colonies what steps he proposes to take to extend responsible, democratic government to the citizens of the island of Rodrigues.
§ Mr. SandysRodrigues is administered under the authority of the Mauritius Government by a magistrate and civil commissioner who co-ordinates locally the work of Mauritius Government Departments. An Advisory Council has recently been established with a majority of its membership drawn from five Parish Councils.
