Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Secretary of State for Industry, Trade and Regional Development what criteria he will use in deciding the order in which resale price maintenance cases will be referred to the Restrictive Practices Court; and whether he will take into account the desire of the various organisations and manufacturers seeking exemption, to have their cases delayed as long as possible, either because of the complexity of their case or their inability to finance an effective defence, especially in the early stages, before the views of the Court on the general issues involved about the precise meaning of the new Act have become clear.
