§ Mr. MawbyIn March, 1951, there were 8,377 telephones connected to the exchanges serving the East Riding of Yorkshire (excluding those within the Hull Corporation Area). I am sorry it is no longer possible to say how many of these were in private houses. The comparable figure now is 14,422, of which 7,156 are in private houses.
