§ Lady TweedsmuirThe alternative syllabuses in physics and chemistry introduced in 1962 have now been widely adopted. Technical subjects, formerly one subject, is now five separate subjects. A new subject, anatomy, physiology and health has been introduced. An alternative syllabus in biology is being tried in some schools and alternative syllabuses in mathematics and modern languages are being prepared.
