§ Mr. Clive Bossomasked the Minister of Transport if he will authorise the erection of new directional signs on primary routes in advance of the regulations which will be made later in the year to implement the recommendations of the Worboys Committee.
§ Mr. MarplesSince our consultations with interested organisations have shown that there is general agreement on the concept of primary routes and the directional signs proposed for them by the Committee, I agree to the erection of these new directional signs on primary routes in advance of the Regulations. A circular will shortly be sent to local highway authorities.
