(2) how many economists are employed as full-time staff in the various departments administered by him as Minister for Welsh Affairs.
§ Sir K. JosephIn the Welsh Office there are 37 professional staff, including two with qualifications in economics. No members of the Scientific Class are employed in the Office.
56WThe Welsh Office is, of course, able to draw on the professional staff of my Department in Whitehall and of other Departments both in London and Wales.
No one Department has been given responsibilities for English Affairs analagous to those which the Welsh Office discharges in relation to Welsh Affairs.
