§ Mr. ThorneycroftApplications from Commonwealth countries for these and other arms are dealt with in accordance with the principles governing arms exports—that is, they are considered in the light of the political, strategic and economic implications of each individual case. Naturally, requests from Commonwealth countries receive especially sympathetic consideration.
