Whether they intend to make any changes in the arrangements for the remission of school meals charges.

THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR EDUCATION AND SCIENCE (LORD NEWTON)

In consultation with the local authority associations my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Education and Science has prepared a national income scale. This will replace the individual scales of the local education authorities and will ensure uniformity of treatment throughout the country. He will be issuing a circular next week giving full details of the new scale.
