§ Mr. MartenThe Avro Whitworth Division of Hawker Siddeley Aviation makes every effort to keep noise to the minimum by the use of mufflers when running jet engines. As far as possible, it also restricts engine running at night. Ground testing of aircraft engines at Woodford airfield between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. will in future take place only on rare occasions.
