Mr. Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what was the number of male and female applicants for university places to study medicine for the years 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963, respectively;

(2) what was the number of male and female applicants who were successful in obtaining university places to study medicine for the years 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963, respectively.
