Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will give the number of vehicles which were observed by the police failing to display a road fund licence in accordance with the law during the months of April, May and June; and what action has been taken or is intended against those responsible for breaking the law.
§ Mr. WoodhouseI understand from the Commissioner of Police that this information cannot be obtained without a disproportionate amount of work at every station in the Metropolitan Police District, which would not be justifiable having regard to current pressures.
